Did you know...
The Evangeline Milk Co. on Sturgeon Bay was one of the largest shippers on the A&W. The building originally housed a pea cannery in 1902 and was converted to dairy use in 1917. The condensed milk company closed in 1964 and later that year the Peninsula Processing Co. began using the building for processing alewives for fish meal (used by feed companies as a high protein additive) and fish oil.
