Here's a 6" mechanical pencil from the Ahnapee & Western Railway.  The pencil reads:

E. F. Bushman, Agent

The two-digit phone number dates this to probably the late 1940s.

The Green Bay & Western Lines pen was made to look like a cigarette!  It is 3 3/8" long and is marked "Made in USA."
