No. 306 works Job 1 as it pulls the former Milwaukee Road interchange at Hudson Street in Green Bay on July 30, 1993.

After the Soo Line took over the Milwaukee Road in 1985, it negotiated trackage rights over the GB&W from Black Creek to Hudson Street in Green Bay, mothballing the former Milwaukee Road route.  Successor Wisconsin Central used those same rights to run two trains in each direction.  After the merger in August 1993, WC ended up with two routes into Green Bay, the old Fox River Valley Railroad (former Chicago & North Western main), and the GB&W from Black Creek.

A big "thank you" goes out to Andrew Nelson for sharing this and other photos on this web site!

For more of Andrew Nelson's work, see his book Green Bay & Western Color Pictorial (2003), available from Four Ways West Publications.
