| In the 1960s., the Green Bay Route built five transfer
cabooses were built from the underframes of old wood cabooses.
Originally numbered #601 through #605, they were renumbered into the 100- series during the winter of 1978-1979. Unlike the road cabooses which had black end steps, the transfer caboose steps were painted yellow like the rest of the car body. Go back to the Caboose History and Photo Roster |
