The title of this postcard - "Lots of trains thru Merrillan,
Wisconsin" - sums it up! This Northern Photo Company postcard
postmarked March 12, 1913 captures a winter scene in the western Wisconsin
town. The end of an westbound Green Bay & Western passenger train is
on the left side of the photo and a southbound Chicago,
St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha is pulling into the station. The
large building to the left rear of the depot is the Hotel Campbell which
was built jointly by the two railroads.
