Mississippi River bridge and the Trempealeau Valley Limited.
The Northstar Chapter
of the National Railway Historical Society
sponsored the Trempealeau Valley Limited on May 29-30, 1976.
The charter train went from Winona to Wisconsin Rapids and return on each day.
Marvin Nielsen captured the train as it approached Winona on the first day of
the excursion. Alco RS-2 #301 leads with #301 behind it. The coaches
are of Denver and Rio Grande Western heritage and the observation was
formerly the Rock Island business car Gritty Palace.
