| Undated photo of a Kewaunee, Green Bay & Western passenger - baggage combine shows a group of men (perhaps the train crew?) in front of the car at an unnamed location.
The engine can't be far off the right side of the photo, judging from the amount of smoke in the air. The KGB&W ended passenger operations in 1937 so this photo was likely taken before that date. Although the car number is not visible, the window and door arrangements seem to indicate that this was either KGB&W #60 or #74. If someone can identify the car, send me a message at mark@mathu.com. KGB&W #60 was put into maintenance of way service in the 1940s. I am not sure of the disposition of #74. |
